Is a non-for-profit community-Based Organization that started in 2018 by a 17-year-old Germany Volunteer Mr. TIMO JULIAN FISCHER who was sent by his parents to Uganda for 2-month Voluntary work and also to experience the other side of life for young people and children in Uganda.
During his period of stay, he visited many villages in wakiso and schools and worked in the community of children, elderly and youth. At the end of his visit, he was a changed young man with passion to positively change communities of children and elderly people.
He then asked our Coordinator by then Mr. Matovu Bosco who was also the Chairman LC 1 of Kasanje Sub County Wakiso district if he can form a community group so that he can easily support their needs and welfare which idea was welcomed with enthusiasm.
It was until when Mr. Fischer travelled back to Germany that his idea took over. Him and his father Mr. Micheal Fischer started sending funding to assist their beneficiaries close to 30 children and 5 elderly people in Kasanje.
Its until 2023 that Wakiso district recognized the activities of Fischer Foundation and granted it a License to officially operate under Wakiso District NGO Board Registration no. WCBO/23/3092 and also incorporated and registered with the Uganda Registration service bureau as an NGO under registration no WCBO/23/3092
Fischer Foundation is dedicated to providing support and assistance to vulnerable children, elderly people, and communities in need. With a focus on advocacy, evangelism, education, Welfare, Water Sanitation and Hygiene and Shelter.
We are currently implementing activities that increase life skills among young people, old, aged and above scale down poverty through mobilization, advocacy, networking and service delivery among communities for sustained impact.
We also have an education fund for over 30 children for aged 4 to 15 years enrolled fully in St Agnes primary school Kasanje all on bursaries.
We are also building a 3-bedroom hostel house for the homeless children and the elderly in Kasanje village.
